Terms & Conditions
MAKING A BOOKING
You may make a provisional booking by E-Mail or by telephone. This provisional booking will be held for 5 working days pending receipt of the deposit or full payment. Bookings can only be accepted by an adult aged 18 or over. Only persons named on the booking form are permitted to stay in the villa. Only persons named on the booking are permitted to stay in the villa, any person not named on the booking will be requested to leave the villa by our management company. It is forbidden, by Florida state law to sub-let, share or assign this booking.
CONFIRMATION
Once the deposit has been received, an account will be issued showing the balance due. This will be payable 12 weeks before departure. Bookings made within the twelve weeks prior to departure will need to be paid in full at the time of booking. Full details of the Villa will be sent out to you on receipt of the final payment.
LATE PAYMENTS
As the owners, we reserve the right to cancel the booking if full and final payment has not been received by the due date.
CANCELLATION CHARGES.
You, the client may cancel the booking at any time after the booking has been confirmed. You must inform us by writing and the following cancellation charges will apply. More than 8 weeks before departure, you will forfeit your deposit. Between 8 and 4 weeks 50% of total cost forfeited. Between 4 weeks and the arrival date 100% of total cost forfeited.
AMENDMENTS
Any alterations to the booking are permitted, upon a written request and at the owner’s discretion. An administration charge of 10GBP or 15 USD will be charged. Any changes will be needed in writing along with the relevant fee.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit of 200 GBP or 300 USD per week will be taken on arrival at the clubhouse. This security deposit will be used to cover any breakages, damage or excessive utility charges whilst staying at our villa. This deposit will only be refunded once we are satisfied that there has been no damage to the property or to its fixtures and fittings. No inventory item may be removed from the villa. This will include pillows, linen and towels. Any breakages or damage should be reported to the management company immediately.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
The rental commences at 4.00pm on the day of your arrival and ceases at 10.00am on the day of your departure. Failure to vacate the villa may render you to incur extra rental charges. The property will be clean on your arrival and will be cleaned on your departure. If you are staying less than five nights an extra cleaning charge of 50 GBP or 75 USD will apply.
POOL HEATING.
Pool heating should be requested at the time of booking, and is available at 85 GBP or 140 USD a week. This amount should be paid with the request for the final balance. If you arrive and then decide that you should need the pool/spa heated, you should contact the management company who are on site in the clubhouse at the agreed rates. The owners cannot guarantee the temperature of the pool as this will vary according to the different factors, mainly the weather, at the time. The owner, or our agent, will not be held responsible for any electrical or mechanical failure of the pool heater or equipment.
SMOKING AND PETS
At Starlight Palms we do not allow smoking within the Villa under any circumstances, we will however, allow you to smoke around the pool area and you must use the ashtrays provided. No pets or animals are permitted within the villa or its grounds.
LIABILTY
The owner and /or the owner’s agents do not accept any liability whatsoever for death, personal injury, accidents, loss or damage to persons or personal effects however caused. We specifically request all guests to supervise children whilst using the pool or Spa and within the pool area. Orlando is a growing area and construction work , both for buildings and roads is unavoidable. We cannot control, and are therefore not responsible for any construction work within the vicinity of our home.
FORCE MAJEURE
The owner or the owner’s agents cannot be responsible for or be liable for, in the event of any loss, damage or changes caused by force majeure (Strikes, floods, airport closures, weather conditions or any other event beyond our control)
INSURANCE
Clients are advised to take out adequate holiday/vacation insurance to cover eventualities such as cancellation, accident, sickness and damage.
COMPLAINTS
In the unlikely event of a complaint during your stay, please contact the onsite management company at the clubhouse immediately. We would appreciate it if you told us of the problem on your return, for us to take up with the management company.
